About
A periodontology course teaches dentists to diagnose, prevent, and treat periodontal (gum) diseases and peri-implantitis. Typical curricula feature foundational anatomy, non-surgical therapy (scaling and root planning), and advanced surgical procedures like pocket debridement, gingivectomies, and bone grafting.
Course Requirements
- Duration: The total duration of the MDS program is 3 years.
- Academic Degree: A recognized BDS degree is required.
- Internship: Successful completion of a 1-year compulsory rotating internship is required.
- Entrance Exams: Candidates must qualify for NEET MDS.
